Key fob acting up

Last night I noticed when I unlock the truck at like 60ft to 70ft distance (usually I lock and unlock at this distance) it did unlock but when I try to lock it back at the same distance it did not lock then I walked next to the truck to lock it and it did lock when I was standing by the truck. So, I'm noticing when the truck is unlocked I cannot lock it when I'm far way.

If you’re sure it’s not the batteries, then the next thing to check would be the RF Hub located behind your rear seat. Conviently located under the rear window which is prone to leaking.

It's a 2020 wouldn't hurt to change the batteries after almost four years. If that doesn't help the start looking else where.

The LEDs in the cargo and third brake light could be the culprit. That's why you can unlock, which turns on the cargo light and then causes interference when you can't lock the truck

You are right the issue was (after market third brake led bulb) as soon as I put back the original halogen yellow blub it started locking from far away

I used Lasfit LED’s in my Third brake light and cargo lamps. Have no issues with Key Fob.

Yours adds to the people that had cheap brand LEDs cause problems. For future, when answering two members, you can click reply on both posts, and reply to both. Typing his name without @ doesn't notify him. This will, so he knows you thanked him. Glad to hear it's remedied.
