I just purchased a used 2022 Ram 1500 3.6 (info should be in signature). Has about 31k on it and I wanted some opinions from this group about the following:
In reverse when backing up has a loud high pitched whine noise (something I’ve never experienced in any vehicle). **took it to dealer and they state that the noise is completely normal for this transmission**
When slowing down anything 4th gear and below will have a sudden hard down shift in one of the gears. Not all, but at least one gear will down shift hard (not crazy but noticeable). ** dealer told me they could not re-create** it happened about 1/2 way home again after I picked it up.
Reported transmission acts up (odd shifting both up and down) in low speed environments like parking lots or crowded streets with low speed traffic. ** dealer told me they could not exactly re-create, however told me that because vehicle was a rental before, due to multiple owners it could be the transmission re-learn and cleared the transmission memory**
I would just like to know if anyone on here has had similar experiences like this? I can wait a bit to see if re learn works, but I am concerned they brushed the whining noise off? I just don’t want to miss anything. Any help appreciated.
