Hi everyone

So last week up picked up a 2022 Rebel GT. As a matter of fact it is actually my first truck ever, it was time to get a family car haha.
Anyway, I insisted to the dealer I had to have a GT 70% for the seats, 20% for the exhaust and 10% for all the other goodies.

Anyway after putting about 1,000km. The only thing I really don't like that much is the GT Exhaust. Now, I've read on here people absolutely love it. But for me, while it isn't a bad exhaust, it does leave me wanting for more.
Mostly in the note sound. The volume is ok, although a little louder would be good. But the note of the exhaust just sounds... well odd. Kind of synthesized almost.

I did have my eye on a Borla S-Type. But I've also read the GT Exhaust is just an S-Type with Mopar stamped on it. I've also read the GT exhaust will get louder as I put more K's on it. I've also heard the S-Type might drone a bit on the highway.

The biggest challenge I'm having is comparison videos. It seems all the videos on YouTube offer a before and after, but only the stock base model exhaust.

So my question is, has anyone heard the GT Mopar exhaust side by side or before and after an S-Type? Should I expect the type of upgrade I'm going for (a deep, bass muscle car sound)?
Would I just be better off removing the rear two resonators just before the tips, or would a dedicated tuned exhaust system be the best option?

Thanks for your advice, the last thing I want to do is drop $1,600 bucks on an exhaust that isn't that much of an upgrade from what I've got.

I would drive it a bit more. My GT exhaust got a bit louder after 5000 miles. I have 10,000 on now. Nice thing is zero drone at driving speed and really barks when you get on it. If anything I would remove the resonators before spending the money on another exhaust. Don’t recall anybody here doing that with the GT exhaust so curious myself how that would sound.

I have the Borla Attack cat back and could not be happier. I love it.
