Jump seat to center console swap

Hi all, new to the site. I own a 2024 2500 CC Tradesman. Just wanted to post saying I just finished the jump seat to center console swap. I looked over a lot of threads on this site and got some good info and some direction. Wanted to just give my 2 cents and experience on it. I bought a used console and all the hardware off Ebay. It came in the exact condition that was quoted. With shipping it was about $1300. Could have probably got it cheaper but once you add up the screws, brackets and closeout panels it does jack up the price. I did have to buy 2 nut clips to insert in the dash to hold on the bracket. I bought a console that had usbs in the rear and since my jumpseat did not have that I was not sure how that would turn out. There is enough slack in the wires if you cut some zip ties and pull just a bit, so i was able to get away without any extensions. They do make extensions but luckily I did not have to go down that route. First inspection everything works great, even the usbs in the rear which is one of the main things i wanted from this project so the kid could charge devices on the go. As some have stated the front usbs stay on for about and hour after shut off. I dont think this will lead to battery or no start problems but we shall see. Overall I am very happy with the upgrade. I feel it was worth the money and gives the truck a great look in my opinion. And having power to the rear seats and still remain factory is great. If anyone has any questions please reach out. Did mine over the summer pretty easy got it from a junk yard there’s a site on line it’s called
Car-part .com or something like that you jus throw your zip in and shows places in your area
Sold my jump seat too a member on here shipping was outrageous
But what can you do
Definitely a cool upgrade always liked the center console better
