Is there a "zoom" lock function for 8.4 Nav?

Curious to know if there is a zoom lock function for the 8.4 Nav. For example, driving down the highway and you zoom out a few times within the navigation. A few seconds goes by and the system zooms back in automatically. Would prefer for the system to not zoom back in, but can't seem to find a setting to lock the zoom.

It's on Auto Zoom by default. Choices are close, med and far. It can also be turned off completely. It's in the Nav option screen while you're in the map.
