Hey all, new member but have been following the site for awhile. First off I love Ram trucks, I have a 2021 rebel which is the fifth new Ram I’ve owned. 5.7 non etorque. But to the point, this past week with 6045 miles on the odometer I was pulling up to a stoplight and the truck shut off. Tried starting, and tried, and tried, finally started by pumping the gas but had no power and sounded awful. Limped to a parking lot called roadside assistance and had it towed. Dealer looked at it the next day and said it was something major in the engine and couldn’t get to it until next week. No loaner....can rent a car Ram might reimburse you... Anyway, dealer did call me the end of the week and said the truck was fixed. Broken valve spring and bent push rod to blame. Runs like new... I did think they would’ve changed the oil after a job like that?? I just hope this is an isolated incident.
