Is leather treated to resist damage from water?

I have a ‘19 Laramie Longhorn. With the hurricane that just hit NC and all of the rain, I am wondering if the leather on the doors is treated so that if it gets wet when the doors are opened in a rain storm, that they will not discolor or become damaged. My assumption is that it would be, but I want to be sure. Anyone know?

The leather is treated in the tanning process, although it is wise to wipe off excess water, much as equestrians do with their saddles when it rains. FCA uses a chemical tanning process that is very good at holding color.

Did you encounter any flooded roads?
Drove home Friday, normal 4 hour drive took 7 hours due to the rivers cresting. Many road closures.

It seems that most leather guys still recommend Ivory bar soap (tallow-based) as one of the 'safe' options to use. I'll do some further testing (on the light-colored seats in my wife's Audi), but I've used it in the past and believe it cleans a bit better than Lexol. That said, I'll use the Lexol conditioner after cleaning.
