Hello all,
Just got my first 3\4 ton truck, 2021 Power Wagon, 21k miles, pretty clean Florida vehicle. Almost went with a 1500 or a Tundra TRD Pro until I drove a power wagon, and then I spent the next two weeks hunting a good specimen down. My grandfather was a sergeant in an infantry company in the Korean war, and owned a Dodge dealership in New Rochelle, NY for 43 years, one of the good ones, who would roll up his sleeves and get under a vehicle for a customer even when he was in his 70's. He'd kick my *** if I bought a Toyota, and I still felt him over my shoulder telling me not to "buy a damn *** car". Honestly, I went over my budget, but it was certified used and has a powertrain warranty out to 2028, and got them to drop the base price down $4k, then got the Wrap on it because of the crazy amount of tech features these trucks have. So I not only loved this truck but I felt comfortable splurging on it being covered for another 3+ years. It's very clean, though I'm going to touch up some rust spots here and there. My WK Grand Cherokee is approaching 20 years of age. I've kept it alive and modded it nicely, but between the rust, interior wear, and the second transmission starting to show signs of failure,
it was time to let her go. Pics below of my ancient Jeep and the PW.
I have a few codes to bring it in for, despite everything seeming to be working fine right now.
B1479-13, B146F-13 (Amp\Speaker Output open circuit), U112E-00 (Rear cargo camera comms), B23C8-92 (center top stop lamp), B2577-00 (Window Calibration), B1577-13 (Radio, UCI circuit open).
I have some vibration when braking to a stop (maybe the rotors are warped)
There's a vibration from the general area of either of the wheels when turning either direction from a dead stop I probably will also bring up to the dealer.
I do have that slight thump sometimes when coming to a stop and downshifting from 3-2 or 2-1. I have heard of this issue, and there is some consensus that the front driveshaft may bind up. I'm talking to Adams shortly to see if they can custom build one.
Going to touch up the bits of rust, fluid film the chassis, got an S&B CAI on order, and a magnaflow catback, and will probably get some new wheels and 35's.
That's about it. I love the truck, put some faith into Mopar again even though I am not a fan of Stellantis or the Damier years and think their engineers are sadists. Nursing my WK Grand Cherokee along for all these years was an exercise in pain and suffering, but that's what I do for all my vehicles.
