Intense Sun in Denver... Ceramic coating a good solution

Hey fellows, I want your experience with ceramic coating / tint. I am in Denver, CO and while it's not hot here a lot of the year (some though), the sun is intense. When driving oftentimes either myself or whoever in the car has the sun shining on them gets much hotter than the rest of the passengers. I have a sunroof in my new Laramie and I'm just wondering if anyone has had positive experiences that warrant the ceramic coating / tint...without taking into consideration the heat but the sun's rays. Also, has anyone noticed a need to use non-polarized sunglasses?
