I have an issue with the instrument cluster/speedometer on my 2019 1500 Bighorn DT. Some of the lights are out, and it's not repairable. It's a V6, and I was wondering if I get a replacement, does it also have to be from a V6, or will one from a V8 be the same? Found one locally from a V8 bighorn with almost exactly the same mileage (will have to wait about 300 miles for my truck to catch up so I can install it without any programming, but want to make sure the difference in engines isn't going to be an issue with compatibility.

Call a dealership give them your Vin to get the part numbers.
Then Google the part numbers and look to see if it shows for v6 or v8. Lots are interchangeable but there are some random items that are different.
I would assume you would be fine though.

I would think that it is just displaying signals from the computer, so it shouldn't matter, but logic isn't always right. Maybe tag Jimmy07, he is the electronics expert.

Called the dealership and they said it was compatible. Thanks for the replies!
