Anyone here have a '19 Ram with bucket seats and have installed a GMRS radio? I found a good spot for mine. Underneath the radio at the back where I installed it, there seems to be a place that's flat and looks like I could drill a hole through the plastic and run the coax antenna and other wires. Does anyone know if it's possible, anything behind the plastic down there? Pic attached.

I am trying to figure out where I am going to put my amature and commercial radios (search and rescue volunteer). Am thinking in the lowest part of the center console for the remote heads, but trying to think of where to put the rest. Also want to figure out how to wire in a couple more 12V, since my Rebel only has one on the top of the dash, and my garmin GPS, cell booster, and other things need 12V, unless maybe get a 120V to 12V.

That's the location I'm leaning towards for mine, but I've got the tradesman with bench seats so I may just end up building a box and floor mounting it.

Mine has remote heads, and I ended up with the main radio parts under the longer back seat section, and then running the wiring under the carpeting and in to the center console. My Rebel has the large center console, so the two remote heads fit in there, but it is a bit tough getting one of the mic's out since it ended up a bit under the part that slides over the area. The antennas went through a plug in the back of the cab, in to the bed, up the inside, and out to a mount I installed on my canopy. They installed a fused power block that ties directly to the battery, and installed that in the back, and then plugged the radio's in to it. That made it so there was only one 6 gauge or so wired going to the engine area. Also installed two (one in front, and one in back) 3 port 12V jacks, since mine only came with one 12V and still have a lot of 12V items. Though he didn't see I already had 8 USB ports, so I now also have 3 more USB-A ports in the front. I will need to get a picture of the install. Did have to be careful going under the console though, since there is a lot of electrical wiring and HVAC ducting under there.

Has been a while since I used GMRS (was KAF6542 but let that expire a long time ago), think we still have a repeater out here for it, but haven't checked in around 20 years.
