2021 Ram Limited 1500
Recently I had to replace one of the headlight assay’s. I had my local auto garage do the replacement ($2700 vs $700 both quotes was for labor/parts). I had the shop do the work, not the dealer. When I got the truck back from the shop, I noticed the blind spot warning not working message. I went right back to the shop. They agreed to look at it when I had time to leave it. Today I’m having the “free” service to the truck and mentioned the blind spot warning is inoperative. They want $700 for approximately 3 hours of diagnostic and that my Platinum warranty may or may not cover that based on what they found. So when I get the truck back from service I’m going straight to the auto shop. The blind spot warning was working prior to the headlight replacement, by the way.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue after a headlight assembly replacement?
Thanks for your time and constructive feedback.
