I am looking to buy RAM 1500 Limited with a 6,4' trunk.
Can I increase the carrying capacity of the trunk without significantly impairing the comfort of the car?

You can't "legally" increase the payload capacity of your truck. That is set by manufacturer based on frame, suspension, tires, brakes, and weight of vehicle. You could put airbags on the rear to prevent sag, but it doesn't actually increase your payload capacity.

I think the car already has air suspension.

Then nope.. those numbers exist for a reason. Buy a lower optioned truck if you need the additional payload or go with a 2500/3500.

Cargomaxx springs will help, but at the end of the day if you need more payload go 2500. I love my cargomaxx springs but should have gone the 2500 route myself

Curious, what are you looking at putting into the bed that you are already concerned about overloading it?

I’ve thought about this myself with my 2020 Rebel. Adding a new front and rear bumper, high quality rock sliders, heavier wheels and tires, bed rack, ect. adds a lot of weight to the vehicle. The RAM HD springs can help with squatting but as Purple pointed out the payload capacity is set.
