Hello....new to forum today. I've been a long time Ford guy but looking to get my first Ram. Been searching and researching alot to determine what truck I want. I narrowed down to a Rebel and Laramie black out. My question....can someone please explain the headlights? The Rebel's I see are either Level 1 or 2 with various options. The headlights look to be LED but I see nothing on any window stickers to indicate LED. Same with the Laramie Level 2 blackouts. I researched and thought there were halogen on some lower base models, standard LED on most others (like the ones I'm looking at) and then premium LED on high end models as an option.

Then, I have two dealers tell me the Rebel lights are not LED? I'm so confused.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum @deanno33!

Yeah, it is pretty confusing. Here you can see all the options and comparisons between trims. Just plug in the models you want to compare and then go to the "Lighthing" section.
It will tell you if it's STD, Optional, or Not Available, and go from there:

Rebels come standard w LEDs no matter what package you choose. Laramies also come standard with LEDs. The bighorn blackout package comes standard w halogens unless you upgrade to a level 2 package. They look similar to the Laramie night edition.

Thank You! So, the trucks I'm looking at have LED Reflector headlamps. Can I assume that means LED bulbs in the Reflector casing? Vs the Bi-function LED Projection which are probably like the small panel look of LEDs. Are the LED Reflector pretty good compared to the regular halogen? My current Lariat has the LED projection lights and they are pretty amazing.

The LED lights on my 19 Rebel are outstanding. Easily the best i have had on any vehicle. i drive a lot of wooded country roads and it really lights them up.

Yes, the LED reflectors will be much better than halogens.

All the 19+ RAM 1500 LED headlight produce very good light, fyi if the light is out you can not just replace the bulbs, they're all build in.

The LED lights on my 2020 Laramie are outstanding. The LED lights on my gf's Limited are beyond outstanding. It was worth upgrading from my 2017 with projector halogens for the headlights alone. Okay, maybe not, but the headlights on 4th gens are abysmal in comparison to any LED headlights on 5th gens.

Rebel comes standard with LED. I just came from a 19’ silverado with LED’s. I thought those were good until I bought my ram. These things have way more light spread on the ground it’s crazy how much better they are then The silverados. Love them. Although I think LED’s stink in the rain. I would rather have halogen for that

My rebel has LED's but a limited i rented had the LED projectors. I have no idea why they would make both but to be honest i much prefer my non-projector LED's in the rebel, little cleaner overall light. The projectors seem to have some weird artifacting/projector signs that I didnt care for (but they are still excellent overall)
