Many people here face the same safety-related issues that I face:
- A water leak at the rear window causes safety systems to become inoperative when driving.
- The transmission going into neutral when applying gas.
There is a TSB for the first item, but if you're 1 mile over the extended 150,000 TSB warranty for the leak, RAM's attitude seems to be a polite "F off."
There is no TSB yet for the second item, but for most people, cleaning or replacing the Throttle Body seems to fix it.
If enough people notify the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there will be a recall that applies at any mileage, no TSB warranty extension required, and if you already paid to get it fixed, RAM will reimburse you. RAM will also notify people who aren't aware of their ticking timebombs and help them get it fixed before it kills or hurts someone.
