I've been buying and driving truck-frame SUV's for 20 years, each time I bought a new one I toyed with the idea of getting a RAM. With all but the behemoth SUVs moving to car frames and losing capability and capacity, combined with the incredible leap forward the 2019 1500 represents, I was more than happy to make the jump.
In the early 80's when I was a small boy, my grandfather bought a 1st Gen RAM, and it was his pride & joy, and the last truck he bought before he died. I remember him pointing out "4 Low" and saying, "If I put it in 4 Low, this thing will climb a telephone pole". My RAM is a city truck, unlike his farm truck, but I'm very happy today.
It's a Bighorn with the black appearance package & protection group, got a great deal on it.
Really overcast here in Minnesota this afternoon - so it was hard to get a great picture today:
