So i decided to do a flush last night 122,000. I drained about 5qts.of black oil, R&R pan with filter, but then i could only get about 3.5qts.back in? I jacked it up and leveled the frame, Idled it then shifted to rev. then N then drive took my foot off the brake got it into 2nd.gear then stopped it and shut it off, all while watchin the temp and dint go over 120 degrees. pulled the fill plug but as i started adding more oil it just kept leaking back out. So now its about 1.5qts. lower than I started and afraid to drive it. I really need this truck tomorrow any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I think you're supposed to top it off while the engine is running.

Were you trying to add fluid with engine running? The engine needs to be running so the transmission pump is pumping fluid for proper level.

And you did a drain and fill not a flush.
