Hey All,

This is my first post on this forum.

I have a 2019 Ram 2500 tradesmen with a 6.4. Yesterday I cleaned it out as I need to drive people around for my upcoming wedding. I wiped down the dash with a wet wipe to clean of the dust and grime, it was damp but not soaking wet.

Once I had the truck all cleaned up, I started it up, and.... all the lights are dead on my three control nobs for my HVAC, after a while the defrost setting kicked in at full temp and full blast.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? The blower and heat work but none of my controls do.

Thanks in advance.

Funny, this happened to us yesterday. We were driving up I-45 near Houston. AC was set to Lo cool, mode to face, fan on level 4 and recirc on. AC was working perfectly for the first 15 minutes into the trip, then it suddenly went into defrost mode on its own. It also turned the fan and temperature to high settings and none of the Comfort hard buttons nor the Comfort controls on the 12” touchscreen would function and allow me to change the settings. This lasted about 5 or 6 minutes until we were able to gain control again. It was over 100 degrees outside when it happened and it also happened about 15 minutes after a remote start. I don’t think any other touchscreen functions were affected. It has about 13K miles on odometer.
