Hey guys- I have noticed recently (I’m pretty sure it didn’t use to do this) that my truck will blow cold air at startup. It could be 30 degrees outside with a cold motor, I’ll have the heat set to 70 or so. Usually it would wait till the motor got to about 140 degrees to start the bower motor, so it wasn’t blowing cold air at you.

Recently I have noticed it will just start blowing, I think mostly out of the defrost and at the floorboards at about a medium speed.

Any thoughts on this? Kind of annoying to have cold air blowing at me in the winter.

Mine does this on remote start.
Otherwise, it almost never gets moved to defrost mode. Defrost starts your compressor, so you will need airflow to keep from flooding liquid back to the compressor and tearing it up.
