2026 ram trucks come with 10 year 100K mile powertrain warranty regardless of engine choice.. that should be a piece of mind for the long term buyers

I bought my '23 new right after the '25 came out. Didn't want to take a chance on the '25. If it had the same 10 year/100K, I might have bought the '25. Especially since I drive less than 10K miles / year. I'm still not going to trust it until many people are reaching 100K. Though with that warranty, you could get major repairs fixed and trade it in if it ends up in service too often.

I've had mine almost 2 years, no major issues. The battery was replaced under warranty. Had 2 cylinder misfires, also replaced under warranty.

There are a lot of Hurricanes over 100K miles. Theyve been used in the Grand Wagoneer for 3-4 years

When I was shopping for a truck I concluded that there is no "forever" vehicle.
Pretty much anything made after 2015 is too complex for me to maintain and repair myself. That means paying ~$200/hr for someone else to do it, and that's a non-starter. Then I'd rather have something new enough to be under a warranty of some sort.
The result of that is to not care so much about engines lasting beyond 100k, and just avoid the worst of the bunch (like the GM v8's, any Toyota turbo, any Nissan, etc). From what I can tell, there are no signficant differences in reliability between the Hemi (simple, but eTorque crap) and the Hurricane (just not simple, but no real problems).

I had a ram 1500 big horn 2019 with a hemi. I have a 2026 Laramie with the SO hurricane. I’d buy the hurricane over and over. Power is smooth, linear, and man it hauls ***. I use 93 in it.

Not sure why people think the Hurricane is this crazy complicated engine with lots of moving parts. Comparatively, it's far less complicated than the current He.i with e-torque .
