I towed with my Rebel yesterday for the first time and it did great. I towed a 2012 Dodge Avenger for about 250 miles , used towing mode and had my trailer brake at 4 and it was fine. But after removing the car, unhooking the trailer, now when reversing I hear a humming noise which sounds like it's coming from the rear of the truck. I have the truck back in normal mode, the trailer brake is back to zero and the noise is still there. Anyone ever has this happen to them after towing? I have no clue what it can be.

Id check to see if auto parking brake is active.
I keep all that stuff turned off.

No it's off. I keep that stuff off also. I wentout to the store earlier and backup and the noise what's gone. So I have no clue what it is or what it could've been.

Some of these trucks develop a rear brake moan. Mine did and I added the rear brake brackets and it solved the problems for me. If you do a search here on the forum you will see several posts about the issue.

I would get it backing out of the garage in the mornings especially on cool mornings.

My 19 had the brake moan bad enough that it sounded like a tug boat horn when I would back out of the driveway anytime the humidity was up. My curent 22 does it just a little on occasion. Not enough to bother me enough to actually throw money at it yet.

Vary the pedal pressure a little when backing up and see if the sound changes.
