If I get BCM replaced by the dealer( swapping 2020 BCM with 2023) and they program it, will I still loose dimming of sideview mirrors?

No, that's the only way to keep it for 2019/2020.

Parts if you have a 2019/2020:
2021+ BCM - 68496414AD
Wiring Harness from Jimmy07

You only need one of the mirrors. Just choose the one that fits your vehicle and if you want to have 2 inputs or not. You only need the 2 inputs if you plan on adding another camera like cargo, trailer, etc. For the 2019/2020 you will need a 2021+ BCM and the wiring harness from Jimmy07. You can get a used one from a junkyard. You can then stash this under the driver's side dash or the front seats.

Installation is fairly simple. Replace the CHMSL with the new one. Run the cable in the headliner from it to the mirror. Replace the mirror with the new one. Connect the mirror, truck and BCM using the wiring harness. Start the truck and enjoy your new mirror.

2019/2020s will lose auto dimming side mirrors.

For 2021+, use AlfaOBD to set the following settings for auto dim size mirrors.

LIN & Misc: CRVMM Present to NO

CBC Config I/O Usage: RVDM Present to YES

So I bought the digital rear view mirror and new tailight with the two cameras on it and the cable that connects to both what so I need a 21+nvm and ( what harness exactly) ???-thanks

It means you don't have a connection to the camera. Everything you need is listed in the first post you quoted.

It is really simole process. I have RAM 1500 DT 2020. I got the rearview mirror , 2023 BCM( any BCM over 2021+ will work) , FAKRA cable , and the harness from Jimmy. I think you already replaced CHMSL , ran the FAKRA cable from back of truck to the front and attched it to the mirror. Now if your truck is 2019-2020, you have to use harness to attach it to BCM 2021+. So the harness gets attached to power port of the mirror. Then you have to run the harness cable which is long enough through A pillar and driver door rim to the floor and attach the other side of harness cables to the BCM. The ports that you have to attach on new BCM are self explanatory. You can only fit them on specific slots. What you will notice is that when you go to your car settings after everything is installed, that the mirror dimmer option is grayed out, because your truck’s BCM no longer talkes to your mirror system.

If you are talking about the BCM, then yes. The last 2 digits are just a revision.
