How Do I add auto climate? I have a 2021 level 1 big horn I'm pretty sure does not have it ( Idk exactly what to check but I don't have any sort of rain/humidity sensor next to the review mirror its just an open bracket on the windshield and I don't remember the old climate controls on the 8.4 bezel having an auto button). I Have since swapped to a 12in screen that has an auto button and I'm not sure it actually does anything other then light up, and the biggest thing is when I remote start the truck The fans kick on but it doesn't heat or cool, some times the fans don't come on either and its super annoying cause what's the point of the remote start then! The remote start has been this way since I got the truck.

I'm in the process of adding acc and I also added the humidity/rain sensor along with required harness to add the connector for said sensor (my truck didn't have any of the connectors). But I don't know what other sensors and modules are needed to add the auto climate or what needs to be enabled in alpha obd, I know infotainment sold a kit for a bit but it appears they took it down. I don't know if I'm just bad at searching the forum or the search just sucks but I can find any threads on the specifics so any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m updating this thread for anyone who finds it, easiest way to figure out if you have automatic climate control is to check in alpha obd.

In alpha obd go to body control modul> car configuration change> Vehicle config 3: HVAC config, once there select dual zone atc and click start. Alpha obd will then tell you what the current config is if it’s suffixed with Mtc (manual temperature control) then you don’t have auto climate, if it’s suffix is atc (auto temperature control) then you do have auto climate.

When I went down this path I realized one of the instructions I followed when I installed my 12in screen was switching the hvac config to dual zone atc and i just didn’t know what it was at the time. I also found a pic of my old 8.4in center stack and it was in fact single zone mtc.

I also looked under the dash I saw in addition to missing the humidity sensor I was also missing the cabin air temp sensor(pic included). I’m gonna go out on a limb and say my sun sensor hasn’t been swapped either, luckily I’m just blind and infotainment still sells their kit to upgrade your truck! And when you program your truck you switch it to atc of what ever zone config you have.

Once I install it I’ll update the thread on if it fixed my remote start cooling issue.
