How hot have you gotten your oil?

I’ve been towing a camper (8k lbs) with this truck for 5 years now and this past summer was the hottest I’ve seen the oil temps going through the Appalachian Mountains.

284F engine and 195F transmission.

Based on videos with TFL truck when testing the 2019 Rebel up a steep long tow, 285F was about what they got maxed on the oil temp, but their coolant temp was a bit higher than yours.

With the 2022 Hemi towing a 7k# enclosed car hauler through WV/VA on I64- I77 the most I’ve seen was 255* oil temperature traveling North and it was brief. When I towed the same route pulling same load with my 2011 Hemi Ram the max oil temp I seen was 220*….. same oil (5w20). Have towed this route multiple times with both trucks.

My max was 255. I was pushing it on purpose to see how it handled a long 7%. I generally tow a 4500 lb boat/trailer with a bit of wind resistance and near max payload in the truck.

Had tons of power left. Pulled at about 4k or so to maintain 65-70. Coolant never climbs on a grade. Trans will run up to 200ish on a climb like that.

You’ve got much higher oil pressure than me at high temps like that. Mine at 4k and hot is around 54 or so. Cruise in OD is 47 usually. 5-20 oil.

My guess is that the OP is possibly using a higher weight oil like 5w30 or more.
