My truck is in the shop for the 3rd time for the same misfire problem, a star case is opened, and nothing is getting done. I'll probably never trust this truck again, so I'd like to start the buyback ball rolling. How do I do that?

I was able to get one started by contacting the state attorney generals office. I had a VW that was under warranty I waited over a year for parts to fix it but vw never made it and didn't want to. So I went to the AG and vw agreed to buy the vehicle back.

Check with the general manager they might be able to reach out to manufacturer and work something out.

Get in touch with local Lemon Law attorney, or just talk to manager if dealership and say you are going to start the Lemon Law process
