Has anyone replaced their horn with something more fitting of a truck? Like putting in something that does not sound so wimpy? :)
Airhorn or other? Is it easy to do? What horn did you get?

check your local law before ripping / replacing -

in my old mopar i left the stock horn but added my air horns on a toggle switch.

And Wolo.

I'm sure an airhorn is not legal as your main horn here in NY. :) Nanny states dont let you breath without their permission but there must be ones that are not that crazy or loud that you can get that just sound better than stock.

Have replaced mine with Mitsuba Dolce Horn, the best one from non-air. Very strong sound. Ordered from Japan.

check out hornblasters.com ... ran their train horn set up on a few of my Ram's!

Is it a big deal to install yourself? a replacement? Installing a 2nd horn would be no problem but really dont want to run wire into the cabin and deal with that. I thought maybe its easy to get to the existing one to just swap out. Thanks.

I will be moving my Nathans over to the '21 LARAMIE Ecodiesel as soon as I mount
On Board Air system this spring. They are currently on my '08 Big Horn Hemi. I will
replace them with a set of Shockers from Hornblasters.com. which is what I upgraded
to the Nathans on the '08. I used a York 210 for the compressor on the '08 and I have
a new Sanden SD7H15 clone for the Ecodiesel. ($95 Amazon)

There is a DPST switch from the horn button to the Nathan's solenoid. So I can switch
back to the stock horn and de-power the Nathans. I also installed a Klienn Sniper 333
Remote key fob to sound the horns from 300 ft away.

No, but idiot drivers may need a new pair of shorts. I need to
get some of my Dashcam Videos edited and posted.

There are some people that put a Ship's Fog Horn in the Bed.
Problem is you need a large Volume of air to sound properly.

The Nathans use 100-120 CFM at 150 PSI to sound off right.

I have two aluminum tanks , 9 GAL total, mounted to the frame
rails pressurized to 200 PSI. The pressure switch is 165-200 PSI.
The Viair Electric Compressor would take 23 minutes to fill the
tanks to 200 PSI. The York 210 would do the same in 3 minutes
at idle.

If the switch turned on the compressor it would take about
15 seconds to refill the tanks to 200 PSI at idle. If I was driving,
it would only take about 8 seconds. So about 1.5 blocks I was
refilled for another blast.
