Hiding a Key Fob Externally

Just bought a used 2019 1500 with 12,500 miles and signed up on the forum. I've learned a lot already! Mine does not have the Keyless Go. I'd like to hide the second key fob under the truck somewhere for the inevitable time I misplace/lose a fob and am stuck. Anybody done that and, if so, what type of container did you use and where did you decide to put it? The fob is BIG so a standard large hide-a-key box won't work and water proof is obviously important. Thanks for any experience and/or ideas!

Key Fob Emergency Key

Is the pullout emergency key in the key fob only for unlocking a door if the fob battery is dead? I ask because the manual doesn’t mention it’s use. Is it possible to lock my truck with the fob inside and take only the emergency key with me kayaking. Be nice if this were doable...

I meant that it doesn't have the Keyless Enter-n-Go...must use the key fob to unlock/lock

Read the thread I posted. A Faraday (radio signal blocking) bag and a safe inside the hitch.
