On Saturday I had a brand new canopy, Snugtop Xtra Vision, installed in my 2022 Limited 1500. It’s my first canopy on a truck so I was excited.
Picked it up from the dealer, it looked good, however it was getting dark. Next day looked at it in the sun and was immediately pissed because the paint is crap. There are scuff marks all over it on the paint and plastic pieces. However the worst of it is on the drivers side edge. It barely has any paint on it. I can see the fiberglass under the paint and it’s cloudy as the sky.
You can see in the picture the “brown” cloudy areas along the edge as well as some of the marks/scuffs. The lighting makes it difficult to take a picture of but it’s much more evident in person.
My question is, how much quality should I expect here? My immediate thought is they either professionally repaint it or take it back. This was a $4,000 top so I expect quality.
Am I over reacting or should I complain?
