In September I purchased a '23 1500 Limited Night Edition with 22" rims. This is my first truck, I have very little vehicle knowledge, and just joined this forum for help. I am looking to purchase a set of new all terrain tires without changing the factory rims or modifying the suspension. I feel comfortable bending some plastic to make things fit. i know i like the visual look of bigger tire with more sidewall, but i am confused. Can someone please help me make sense of this all.. Are some of these sizes heavier than others, and how does that effect transmission wear and tear. does any of these size changed void warranties? what do i need to be aware of by changing the tire size? i have compiled a list of tire sizes i am interested in based of some of the post i have read and wondering what will fit.

Toyo Open County AT3
1. 285/50/R22
2. 285/55/R22
3. 305/45/R22
4. 33X12.50/22

Using a tire Calculator will give you sizes and how much speedo will be off from stock.

Tire Calculator

285/55 (34.3 X 11.2 ) Minor rubbing, will need trimming or plastic heated and bent back.
305/45 ( 32.8 X 12 ) fits stock and even on lowered 2/4 drops.
285/50 ( 33.2 X 11.2 ) Should fit no issues

Weight will depend on each tire. You can go to tire manufacture page to find the weights for said tire and sizes.

Toyo Tires Information

You will lose MPG anything bigger and heavier than stock 285/45 street tire.

The rear gearing will also matter how each size works.

There's more information, but that's the basics.
