Hey all,
Got a new 2026 Rebel.... loving the truck so far.

Had to get a truck topper for transporting some things in adverse weather, and went with the rough country. Got it up and really impressed over all.

The documentation sucks, and Im an idiot. I cant figure out what wire is the brake light wire to tap into. I already ****ed up once lol. Ignore the T splice things, i did it wrong already. And RC is not helpful.

Here is a pic... can anyone help me out?

Understand completely, so does my local installer. Had my cap moved from my 2020 Built to Serve to my '26 Rebel. The installer had the same headache I think as you but learned that you need logic boxes (modules, in this case from ARE) to get the wiring harness to work properly with the cap installed.
Further, once installed, the power tailgate wouldn't work. I thought that might be intentional so you don't release or raise and destroy the rear glass unintentionally but everything I read suggests the tailgate should work. Will look further into that.
Sorry I couldn't provide more but hope this sends you in the right direction if you're still fighting with it.
