Have a 2019 ram 1500 5.7 randomly one day went into limp mode and stated throwing codes.

In live data chart while the vehicle was running I verified the engine cam / timing system, during this diagnosis I found the Exhaust Cam 1 / Crank difference to be @ -3 Degrees (OEM SPEC 0 Degrees). This indicates that theirs an internal fault with the timing chain system & the engine could have potentially skipped timing when running low on oil. Intake Cam 1 Position 120 Degrees (OEM SPEC 0 Degrees) & Intake Cam 2 Position 230 Degrees
Mechanic said probably timing chain but to do a engine swap just incase they open it up and find other problems. Just to open it up would run a couple g’s. Any advice or know any good cummins mechanics that can fix engine would be appreciated. Truck starts like new and has only 126k on it.
