With nearly 10k on the odometer, it's high time I put together a build thread!

The bulk of this will start with a whoooole lot of pictures and some notes. Feel free to ask any questions along the way!

The goal of my Ram was a comfortable highway cruiser; a bike hauler; a capable mobile camp and something that isn't afraid of a little weight!

--

Without further ado, my Ram!

The day(ish) I brought her home:

Sure doesn't haul the same way my personal 3/4 tons or works' 550 does...

I understand the value of money, but why someone would buy a vehicle without LED headlights is beyond me!

The Flowmaster FX was the perfect fit, for me. East install; great idle; not overly loud and aggressive when putting your foot down.

Little North East vista to *try* and compete with our Westerly brethren.

My first truck with a bed cap. The Leer XQ, after 6 months, I still love it. I'm not crazy about the plastic shroud, where it overhangs the table gate. We'll see how long that part lasts...

Repurposing a catch can from an old race rig.

Bedslide time! This was my real intention for maximizing my bed cap. This HPI slider can support 2,000lbs! Too bad my Ram can't!

Decided I needed some extra light for these aging eyes. I wired both 6 LED pods (amazon/chinese make) to come on automatically in Reverse.

They bright!

View of Canada from atop Saddleback Mountain, Maine. The Ram couldn't make it up this one!

The infamous Hellwig was next! Do I like it? Yes! But I feel like it's magical powers are a little too hyped up. Quite frankly, I would have preferred a notch or two, even more stiff. This truck's natural body roll is just way to ok much for my liking.

Black Plasti-Dip to rid my truck of the little bit of chrome that still remained.

18x8.5 +0 Black Rhino Duggers.

HUGE thanks to @Desert Dawg for his aid in this decision. The moment t I saw these wheels on his rig, I knew they were the right choice for me. A side note, the wheel weights that I had initially installed were almost immediately jettisoned after making contact with my calipers. The easiest solution was to use bang on weights, as opposed to stick ons, and my problems were history!

The other half of the equation! 295/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I love them, truly. The added sound produced is almost negligible. The drop in mileage? That's another story...

Lake Rangeley, Maine just doing it's thing.

Side note, there are no fish!

I really lucked out and found a Batwing locally. The used price was less than a third of a new unit.

Gotta keep things tidy and safe!

And that's it! (Ish)

For now!

I am looking to replace my 2.5" Motofab spacers. Not that I have any gripes with the product, but I think I'll only be happy with a proper lift. The stock suspension is just far to plush for my liking.

To be continued!

Works for me....fantastic scenery! Also half-Canadian myself so have an affinity for anything Canadian although didn't have those vistas since we spent more time around the Toronto area.

Great start on the build thread so excited to see what else you do!
