Hello. My name is Paul. I recently as in Wednesday was somewhat forced to buy a new truck. I did have a 2017 F-150 that I had done a lot of modifications on. Back on July 3rd the transmission lead frame went out and cost a bundle to have towed from southeastern Louisiana back to East Texas. They fixed it and the next day it was messed up again. I decided to trade and got into a 2021 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi Big Horn/Lone Star Edition. I was hesitant at first but I have to say I really do like the new truck. Its the Olive Green Pearl Metallic with black interior. Has the Lone Star 25R package I think. I have already identified some mods that I will make but have reasearch (UConnect mobile app access, nav, 12 inch screen, integrated brake controller, ACC, Lane Assist are a few). Feel free to direct me to the appropriate posts to find information. I do want to know what program I should use to enable stuff in the vehicle. I had FORScan with an OBDIILink EX adapter. What program should I use will this adapter work? Do I need that 12+8 adapter? All advise is welcome. I am not new to Mopar. My first vehicle was a 69 Plymouth Fury I with 440 police interceptor package. We bought it in 1974 from the Virginia State Police. It was a captain's car so it was unmarked and a 2 door. I miss it. It would fly! I have also had 2013 Challenger SXT and 2015 Challenger SXT Plus. Glad to be here.
