Does anyone know if all 3.92 ratio rear ends are the “heavy duty towing rear axle” (10” Dana super 60?), or if that is one version and there is also a 9.25” 3.92 ratio rear end?

All 4th generation Rams used 9.25 axles regardless of the axle ratio or the manufacturer (pre-2014s used American axle design, 2014 and up used ZF axles).

For 2019 all axle ratios are available with the ZF 9.25 ring & pinion gear sets, with the optional 9.75 ring & pinion set available only in 3.92 ratio with the Max Tow option.

I believe the heavy duty rear axle and max tow package are only available on 4x2 Quad Cab versions of Tradesman, Big Horn and Laramie models. All other configurations offer the Trailer Tow Group which does not include the heavy duty axle. At least that’s my understanding.

I was second guessing myself having not ordered the tow package (I wanted the 360 camera and for my trailers (same width as the truck) can skip the extendable tow mirrors. I recalled a heavy duty axle option in the online configuration tool (see sig for truck specs), but only opted for the 3.92 ratio.
Having 8 weeks pass since ordering and still no built date allows for such things;)

And I believe that is correct, also.
