I've seen many people wanting to upgrade the Alpine or Harman Kardon audio system. There has not been much posted on the headliner removal or what actually fits in the stock locations. The speakers with a perfect fit for the 3 dash speakers and 2 headliner speakers are the JL audio c2-350x evolution. The screw slots align perfectly with the factory screw clips. But if you want a serious upgrade I have included pics on the new upgrade I just did on my 2023 Ram 1500 limited. For these 3 1/2 inch JL Audio C7 speakers to fit I used, Exact Fit Tweeter/Speaker Adapter Spacer Rings for Dodge, & Jeep - SAK077_15-1 Pair, purchased from amazon, and modified them by using a hole saw to accommodate the speaker dimensions. The headliner grill removal is pretty simple. Just use a pry tool and gently but firmly pry each corner going around sliding each corner out evenly and it will pop right off. Here are the pics of the installation. I have 5 JL audio C7-350 (3 in the dash and 2 in the headliner) 2 Jl audio C6-100 tweeters, 4 JL audio C6-650's in the front and back doors, 1 JL 800x8 vxi amp, 1 JL 400x4 vxi and 1 JL HD 1200/1 pushing 2 JL Audio 8w7 in a ported box under the seat. (2 inch lift). Hope this all helps someone. Also if you are worried about power issues, the gen/alt that comes with the 5.7L V8 Etorque has no problem maintaining voltage. I did add a xstatic batcap model 400 for my sub amp but it wasn't really needed.
