Hey guys, new member here, Cleveland Ohio. 5th gen big horn. Put in led bulbs, all working fine. My question is how important is the dust cap? I got the passenger side back in. I cannot for the life of me get the drivers side back in. Ive given up. Just curious if anyone has any input on the importance. Thanks in advance.

The dust cap will keep moisture out of the lens. Why can't you get it back on?

Remove the 4 screws shown in the pic, 8mm or 5/16 socket, pull wheel liner back, and you can easily access the area to reinstall the cap.

The heatsink for the led bulb occupies a ton of space. It would go back on if i had a better angle. Ill try the the wheel well suggestion possibly.

The wheel well is how I did mine as well.

Took me awhile to get around to doing it but this worked. Thank you.
