Hello again. I have a 19 tradesman and they lights are terrible and I would like to get my headlights done with some paint and led lights. I have seen some people doing really good job on what is call Retrofit Headlights. I am thinking of getting something like in these pictures i saw on hidretrofitkit but not sure how much they runs for because they seems to give many options you can choose from. Has anyone get these lights already? If so, what's the light output and how good they are. Thanks.

I was talking to one of the guys and they havnt sold any yet to people. They said they are working on pricing them out because they are still trying to get a deal with their wholesale for the headlights. Both the reflector style and the LED style. They are also in the process of making a wiring harness adaptor for plug and play for the option led headlights from factory. But for the time being I bought some led bulbs that are extraordinarily bright

What bulbs did you go with and where did you get them? I’m beyond ready to do this... the stock non-led lights are borderline dangerous.

Best led headlights on the market are either the 2nd best morimoto 2 stroke or the best are diode dynamics sl1 but last I checked most bulb types are 6 week back order at diode dynamics

I ended up going with the Headlight Revolution SuperNova V4 bulbs. They look really nice and are nice and bright. A bit pricy but I’m happy with them.

Thx... pre-order only right now :(

Another thing as well, I’m sure you guys are aware that you can have DRL even with these normal headlights. I have the setting on. With the original halogen bulb...the DRL was dimmer than when the headlight was on. With this LED bulb....the headlight stays on at full light as the DRL. (Sorry if I made that sound confusing)

Here are some photos of the lights.
Ordered mine(y).

Check out the article on the recent IIHS safety testing results. The 2019 killed it in every category except for the halogen headlights on the tradesman/bighorn... (“marginal”)

I was thinking about getting these lights as well. How hard was the install? Did you have to take the headlight assembly out to get the bulbs in?
They weren’t bad to change. All you gotta do is go through the inner fender liner. Couple screws and then pull the liner back enough to get your hand in ther to take out the old bulbs and then put in the new lights.

Also to add on to this thread. I’m considering on tinting my headlights and of course taillights. I do like the black headlight on the LED upgrade. I’m not usually a fan of tinting headlights But I don’t feel like waiting for an aftermarket headlight to come out that’s most likely gonna cost close to $1000 if not more. Now i know I could take the headlight apart myself which I have done before with my old RAM and that was a nightmare. I painted the inside of the headlight black and never had to tint on the lenses. But I’ll give it a shot here in a week or two whenever my tint arrives. Here’s a pic of my old truck

I did preorder them and it was like 2 days after I got an email saying they were shipped.
Thanks for the photos! Can you please confirm these links are the same items you installed (including the PWM module with the low beams)?
low beam supernova v4
high beam supernova v4

Found this review of various led replacement options... not sure if it was written by a vendor but the list is comprehensive and the photos are “illuminating.”

Are there 4 bulbs in the halogen setup from factory? The install videos from that site show the exact same video for low beam installation as they do for high beam installation? To upgrade both low and high beam, you need to purchase 4 bulbs correct?

Yup. Those are the bulbs. I only bought the low beams. I never purchased the high beams but I’m sure they are just as good. In the low beams...I’m the one that wrote the only review on them so far

Correct. 2 low beam bulbs and 2 high beam bulbs

Ok thanks, I’ve been envying the LED package so just ordered Supernova low beams, high beams, plus some reverse tail lights (note these are a different size than the led bed lights referenced elsewhere on the forum). 20% off “BLACKFRIDAY” coupon code. Will let you all know how it goes when they get here.
