I was driving home a couple weeks ago and just filled up with Premium diesel at Shell.
Once I got on the highway I reset my odometer to see if Premium would help.(I monitor all my full tank mileage).
There was a (pretty good tailwind) and I had cruise control set to 111KMs hour.
Its 75KMs from Calgary to Nanton.
I took a screen shot because it was my best mileage ever.
Usually I can only get about 8-8.2 Liters per 100Kms with all highway driving.
I doubt I will ever get mileage like this again, but I did find it pretty interesting.
Again I did have a Big tailwind, I just found it interesting the rolling resistance of my truck in the right conditions.
I do expect once I dump the 10 ply tire for a p rated tire (11 lbs lighter per tire less rolling resistance) I will start to see high 7Liters per hundred, but not 7.2 Liters per hundred.
My rebel is a Eco diesel, and I run a HT tire, It was the only 2022 eco diesel avaible for purchase in 2022.
I did not buy the truck for off road.
No hating LOL, just found it interesting.
On a side note: I always get better mileage running Shell diesel. (Non Premium or premium doesnt matter).
