Happy 250th Birthday U.S. Army!

Happy Birthday to the US Army. I was also in the Army, class of 94' Fort Jackson S.C., by happy coincidence my Dad also went to basic there in the mid-70s. Back then, Filipinos could get US citizenship if they joined the US military, this was during the Vietnam war era, he finished basic as the war ended.

I did Basic at Ft. Jackson in early 1980.

Pic was Germany, 1982.

Awesome, so you did you basic training in the old shacks like I did. We were the last cycle to do basic in old style two story wood barracks, they switched over to the modern multi-story "starship" barracks from that point on.

Germany was everyone's dream location after training, besides Hawaii of course.

No, not the starship barracks, the pic I found below was what we were in, right across from the DI training barracks. Of course, our DI's were always showing off for those "trainees."

The phrase "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" suggests that it's wise to stay aware of your enemies' actions and intentions, as this can help you protect yourself from potential harm. It emphasizes the importance of vigilance in relationships where trust is uncertain.

FYI
Meanwhile, back in the U.S., leftist and communist organizers are calling for a national “Saturday Day of Rage” to be held on June 14. This date was obviously selected for its significance as Flag Day, the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday and Trump’s 79th birthday. The communist call is for 1,800 protests in all 50 states.

Nice, this was our digs during my time in 1994, they eventually converted them to museums I think lol. It was cool because each platoon was in one building, half the platoon on each floor ....
