Hey guys im about to get a new ram big horn with halogen reflective head lights. I'm curious if these light have day time running lights. And if so is it the low beam bulb or a designated drl bulb. Thanks

It does have DRL. It’s in the Uconnect settings under lights with option to turn on and off. It uses the low beam if I remember correctly.

Thanks guys for the info. Is there any one on here that can post pics of the halogen lights in action and can any one confirm the drls can be shut off and that they deffaintly are the low beem bulb thanks again.

I didn't know about the DRL option on my Lonestar edition, I will check it out. Also for us who would like an LED front light option I read somewhere on this forum that a manufacture is working on LED lights that will go on the grill on each side on the RAM letters, this would be for the Longhorn edition trucks, maybe other. Any word on those as of yet, the pics do look great and will set off the front of the truck and make it standout and let everyone know you got a RAM.

I do not have any pictures of them in action since the truck has to be in drive (D) for them to turn on; but I have driven to the grocery store so that I can see the reflection of the front of the truck in the windows / glass and can verify that it is the low beams at 50% power when you have the DRL turned on in the UConnect setting on a Bighorn Halogen equipped truck.

If you want to get a designated DRL bulb you will either have to purchase a Plug n play harness for the 2019+ Ram 1500 halogen to LED headlights from RetroShop this will allow you to easily add the mid line LED lights to your 19+ Ram 1500! Headlights are not included, this is only the wiring harness / adapter to mate the lights to the truck. Then you can upgrade to Mopar LED DRL Headlights.

You can take the route that I did and go after market. I went with the AlphaRex Headlights. It was cheaper than OEM + Harness and it fit the looks for my truck.

don't have a pic but they can be shut off in the u connect options on the display. They use the low beam at half power. I can confirm.
