Got my first truck and it's a 2020 Ram limited

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to pop in and say hi and that I just purchased my first truck ever and it's a beauty.
Are there places on here that I can look for tutorials or any info about how I should take care of her and make sure she's always running pristine?
2020 Dodge Ram Limited 3.6L V6 (base model engine, I believe) w/ 4WD, speaking of 4WD, is there a mode I should be in to have the best fuel efficiency when not towing anything?

The owners manual is a great source of information on how to maintain your truck and when to use different drive modes.

According to the owners manual.

Two-Wheel Drive High Range (2WD) — This range is for
normal street and highway driving on dry hard surfaced
roads. Driving the vehicle in 2WD will have greater fuel
economy benefits as the front axle is not engaged in
2WD.

Four-Wheel Drive High Range (4WD HIGH) — This range
provides torque to the front driveshaft (engages
four-wheel drive) which allows front and rear wheels to
spin at the same speed. This provides additional
traction for loose or slippery road surfaces only.

Four-Wheel Drive Low Range (4WD LOW) — This range
provides low speed four-wheel drive. It maximizes
torque (increased torque over 4WD HIGH) to the front
driveshaft; allowing front and rear wheels to rotate at
the same speed. This range provides additional traction
and maximum pulling power for loose or slippery
road surfaces only. Do not exceed 25 mph (40 km/h)
in this range.

It's supposed to be in between the 2 lines when cold. Don't add when the coolant is hot and don't stress over it being below the line.

Welcome aboard. Having the v6 helps. The HEMI just makes you want to step on it. But really, your best fuel mileage saver is your right foot. Keep it in 2wd, 4hi and 4 lo is for off road instances. If you have 4wd auto, that is also an option. I use mines in wet weather. Other than that, 2wd for all road driving.
Search the forum and you will find a ton of information on caring for your truck. To me, the best forum dedicated to the 5th Gen. Bunch of great folks here, and we will have no problem helping you spend your money on mods!!! Enjoy your new truck!!!
 
i'm trying to think of what mods I can get. I love driving it, it's so smooth.
 
Within the first week of owning the truck I ordered Mopar Splash Guards, Bed Rug and Leer tonneau cover. I also installed front and rear dash cameras. I'm pretty much done with the mods.

Full windshield tint? I don't think it is a good idea. I know many states do not allow to tint your windshield fully. I will recommend checking what state law says. tinting windshield will grab unnecessary attention from cops.

Most cops don't care. It's not legal in any state without a doctor "prescription" for it. Looks 100x better than a stupid strip across the top of windshield. I will always recommend doing the full windshield over a strip. Mine is at 35%, can do lighter tint if you are concerned about unwanted attention, and still reap the benefits of a cooler cabin.
 
Full windshield tint is becoming more common, you can get films that are just about clear if you wish but block out a significant percent of the UV and heat. I'm thinking about taking my back to the tinter to get the windshield done.

Anyone know if the RF issues still an issue with with water getting behind the dash during tint installation? I would be using a highly reputable installer.

Yes, you will still want to protect the BCM under the dash when doing full windshield tint. I made sure my tint guy knew about it, and as added precaution, I stuffed some microfibers up on top of the BCM before I took it to the shop
 
Welcome to the forum. I also have a limited and love it. Great 1st mod could be tint matching your front windows to the backs or if you really want to shoot for comfort have all the windows done in ceramic. I did and I will never install any other tint on my vehicles again.
