Gear Selector Issue

When I started the truck this morning, all of the lights on the gear selector panel stayed lit. They never turned off while driving. I pushed and tried to change into 2WD and nothing happened. And when I shut the truck down, they stayed lit but faded slightly.

Any ideas?

I was able to drive to work.

It was also -5 degrees.. so not sure if this is having an impact on something as well.

Automotive design temp. range is -40 to +105 F. Passenger compartment.
Should not have done that due to temperature unless something is not up to par.
Maybe someone else has seen this and has an idea of what might be causing it.
