Gear display option is missing on my truck

I just picked up a 19 Bighorn with the Lone Star package and 8” screen. I have been trying to find a setting to show what gear the truck is currently in on the gauge cluster. I have searched the display options menu but it is missing from my truck. Anyone have any info on this? I like to watch the gears while I’m towing my boat. Thanks for any help.

Should be in the screen setup menu on the cluster's 7" screen (not in the menu on the 8.4 screen). Use the up/down, left/right and ok buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to navigate it. If you've done that and it's not there, then it may be time for a dealer visit.

Yep it’s missing from my options. Not sure if that means it’s an older software or newer software.

Just use your gear + or gear - and put it at 8. This way you can see it count up to 8. Just note that the eco light/mds will be deactivated.

Nothing weird about it. I do that every time I shift into D to deactivate MDS. As a side benefit, I can see which gear the trans is in. Many people do this to keep MDS from activating.

I do the same to deactivate MDS. OP you should still take it to the dealer to see why it's not in your menu options.
