I dont know if the previous owner drilled it out, but the front holes in the bumper are too big for a plate i got and the screws that came w/it. They're just holes in the bumper. Nothing to screw too. Help is appreciated.

The factory plate holder snaps into the holes on the bumper. Then the screws go in and expand the plugs. Then you screw the plate to the holder.

Check out the views and you'll see what I mean. https://www.moparpartsinc.com/p/Ram__1500/BRACKET-KIT-License-Plate/75656682/68274219AD.html

That's done by the factory now, which is annoying. The holes are sized to accommodate a license plate bracket (or plastic nutserts), not for screws to hold the plate itself.
We no longer have to have a front plate in Ohio so the holes are useless here. I went to Lowe's and picked up 4 plastic pins (Christmas tree style) to fill the holes. Looks better with plugs, although I may remove them and color match them to blend it even better.

Those holes are 7/16" from the factory. For bumper plugs, I bought four of the HIllman brand 3/8" metal hole plugs at Lowes. Then I used some small pliers to expand the flanges on the back just a little bit. This made them pop in nice and tight in the 7/16" holes.

I guess ill look for the expandable screw plugs... what a pain. In NJ front license plate is mandatory

Yeah, they were required in Ohio too until last year too.
My truck didn't come with the bracket, or I'd send it to you. Good luck.

It's not expandable screw plugs, it an entire license plate holder you want. Richard320 posted a link in his response but I'll repeat it here.

Check with your dealer. I lost the one that came with one of my previous trucks and the dealership ordered a new one at no charge to me.
