I have seen a lot of threads regarding a front camera install that hooks into uconnect system. I am not interested in the massive take apart to do that but would like a front camera for parking. Anyone have experience with any of the wireless options out there? Be curious if you found a model you like? Seems 99% of them are made in same china factory with just a different China business name.....
there is one though that caught my interest.
It’s more expensive but solar charged

did you ever get this camera installed?
I am thinking about doing the same thing.

Just installed a front camera today. I did do the method of integrating it into the factory head unit. It’s really not that bad of a process. Just gotta make sure you’ve got everything you need, and clear instructions on what to do. There are several good threads on here with helpful info.

Hey. Yes, it’s a 2020 Rebel. 12” screen. I used the camera linked below. I have also linked other parts/components I used/needed.

You’ll need two of these, to go onto the ends of the RCA pigtail...

How is camera, does it display correctly for front. I tried a similar camera and once I cut jumper it flipped image for from view but image was still flipped vertical because the camera was meant to mounted in vertical position not horizontal.

The camera I linked works great. It can be mounted either way, so it has options (via wire loop cuts) to flip or mirror the image, based on your mounting orientation. You can make the image correct regardless of how it’s mounted.

I want the oem front camera.
To my knowledge, no one has been able to pull that off. The OEM camera module has a digital output, as opposed to analog, and that’s a whole other can of worms. There is an OEM digital interface that goes along with the 360 surround view system, but again, that’s a whole other thing.
