Hi all,
just joined the forum following my purchase of a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited in Maximum Steel about a week or so ago.
Not my first Ram - I tend to change vehicles pretty often compared to some (love the new car smell - might be an addiction). Previously I've owned a 2010, 2012 and a 2014 all of which were really good, well equipped trucks. The 2019 really shows that FCA has upped their game. Below are some of the things that swayed me back to a truck after flip-flopping between Jeep Grand Cherokee, Durango R/T and a Charger 392 (most recently traded):
The adaptive lighting with corner illumination (had this on an LR3 back in 2006 and loved it) - a welcome addition to the Ram where the lighting was not its strongest asset in earlier years
Adaptive cruise control - finally available on the Ram, no ugly camera bulge below the bumper either, neat implementation.
Ventilated Rear seats - not a necessity for sure, but a nice touch for those warmer days - especially if I end up a passenger back there (unlikely)
Premium interior look and feel.... quality leather, excellent storage, lighting etc.... very high end and good deal of room all around.
Power steps - admittedly I am a gadget freak so this was icing on the cake. The wife would get a little impatient with me lowering the Grand Cherokee when we parked up - don't need to any more (win-win)
The ability to select aero mode (wish the Grand Cherokee had that) - just seems to tighten things up a little for those curvy roads where you probably wouldn't (or shouldn't) be driving fast enough to kick it to lower.
So far some great information on the forum - hope I'll be able to contribute
