Hi all,

I have spent last two day searching here, other forums and the internet in general and can't seem to find answers as I finalize my order for a Black Limited 6'4" Night Package Truck. It revolves around the Off Road group...

1) What exact tires have people been getting with the off road package?
2) Any benefit to snow traction with the locking e-diff, tires in the off road package - I plan on driving to Tahoe in the winter so snow driving.
3) Anyone have pics of the Off Road group with the Limited Night Package?

Thanks for the help - this forum has been super helpful as I navigate the ordering process.

I did test drive a 6'4 Limited Night locally and man it was beautiful and drove so nice - which I drive a lot of cars and I was very suprirsed how fast and how well it rode.

ORP is coming with Falken Wildpeak all train which earned USTMA's Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol. It should be good on snow, I'm not sure if it'll be better than snow tires.

I will put some up this evening in this thread when I get home. I will take pics of my tires for you also. the trucks dirty though lol.
Awesome thanks! Do you feel its any slower (acceleration vs non off road tires)? And noise levels okay? 90% will be daily/highway driving.

1) The 275/55r20 Falken WildPeak ATW all terrain tires that came with the ORP on my rig treated me very well, albeit they were only on the truck for 8 months. They saw rain, snow, and mud and performed pretty well in my experience. Quiet enough on the highway and aggressive enough to give good traction in adverse conditions. I can second what the others above have said, no major difference in acceleration caused by the tires (Unless you're on the race track)

2)The E-Locker definitely helps in the deep snow or mud but turns off at 20 mph so it makes no helpful difference when at speed. I mostly only use mine in the mud or when pulling another vehicle out of the ditch. The Falken A/T tires will be much better in the snow than the all seasons that the trucks usually comes with.

3) No photos of a Limited Night Edition ORP, but that truck you test drove would look pretty sweet with 1 inch higher ride height and some more aggressive looking tires on it!

Also take my opinions with a small grain of salt. My truck is a Big Horn Crew Cab 6'4" ORP 3.92 and a 3.0 diesel. So a little "apples to oranges" going on here.

Yeah the truck already looked great.. but was missing some packages that are must haves for me.. trailer tow, mirrors and ORP. I can imagine how nice it will look with the tires.

My 2021 came with the Falkens but they are not the ones you see in the tire store. The tread pattern is less aggressive. Maybe it's different now? Still, I like them. I can't speak to snow traction though as I haven't had to deal with it in any amounts worth mentioning.

Here is pics of my tires on my 25 Limited we were talking about earlier. Dont look at the garage it’s a mess right now. I have the 20 inch tires because I don’t like the low profile of the 22s I also have a 2 1/2 inch revel/daystar level lift on the front.

Your truck look so good! Confirms my choice to go with 6'4.

The night package comes with 22" wheels and 285/45-22 A/T tires... so now I'm super curious what it will be - if it's falken in that size.. or what it will look like.

I talked to a dealer today about a '25 big horn with off-road group. It has the 12" screen and I prefer the 8.4". Also no trailer brake. I told them they would have to install the trailer brake and swap my Cooper Discover at/xlt's for me to accept the 12" radio/screen. I believe it had the wild peaks on it. I'm only interested because of the off-road package and it's the blue.

The 22s will have a lower profile side wall. Some like them they do handle well but with a firmer ride when I tested them. I am old school I like a full size sidewall. My truck handles as good as the same truck with 22s w ORG but my truck has a slightly more refined ride comfort wise in my opinion. Again it’s user preference as many will claim just the opposite. And that’s ok I’m just old school and was raised on 6 inch lifts and ground hawgs. Also on the premises that 4x4 trucks are meant to be level front to back. 🤣 Additionally I love my 2025 Ram 1500 I was so nervous as I never owned a Ram in my life. Always drove new silverados. And the HO has so much power I was blown away by it.

Yeah, I've never had a truck before. Always wanted one growing up in Minnesota. But grew up driving Hondas and as an adult... sports cars and occasional exotics. So I probably am coming from cars that have almost no sidewall! :D

I have been calling my Ram the Mercedes Benz of trucks and I have had some nice trucks over the years. But this one is over the top as far as ability’s and features. I could have gotten a Denali but didn’t like the grill area. I actually had a High country Silverado ordered but that fell apart on GMs side. I am glad of that as of right now. Granted I have less than 1,000 miles on my Ram so far but so far so good.

Here is my ‘25 Laramie with ORP and Night Edition. I replaced the 22” rims with 20” because I need more tire. I live on a dirt road and also drive to Tahoe in winter. The tires are Toyota Open Country A/T III LT285/60R20. IMG_1581.jpegIMG_1590.jpegIMG_1583.jpeg
