Hey yall, i recently bought my 2024 Ram 2500 in November 2024. Currently has 13k miles and guess what? Its getting a whole new engine because of "something with the long block" so its been in the dealer for about a month and now the engine is on back order. Im going to Lemon law it.. Does anyone have any info on if i should do it myself or go through a lawyer?

I’m from florida and know little basic about Lemon law. The truck needs to be in the dealership for the same reason 3 times in order to even look at the perspective of lemon law. All three times the ticket from dealership needs to be closed. Got that already then you good to go but without those tickets closed you still have to give them a chance to make it right. Best luck man!!

That's not entirely correct. You can also file in FL if the vehicle has been out of service for a total of 32 days (???). What you can also try is to get Stellantis to offer a buyback. Florida Lemon Law has different guidelines for mileage usage. Stellantis buyback makes up their own rules, but uses the state lemon law as a guideline.

My 2015 Charger Scat Pack was a buyback and they held the mileage at 7k. I turned the car in with 21k, but only had 7k when they started the buyback process, so I was charged based on that. I also had issues with a 2018 Ford F150 that was returned under lemon law with 9k miles. I started the lemon law process with 1500 miles and had to pay the state costs based on 9300 when I turned it in.

The dealer buy back is more beneficial to you and might be easier to to get the replacement vehicle.
