So I am new RAM owner overall. Never had one ever. Things i've noticed:

  1. When I start the truck, it seems to do some sort of "cycling" and I just want to make sure its normal: Makes some clicking noises within the first 10 seconds of the start. Not a pattern, but it sounds like some sort of servos activating.
  2. The brake pedal has a squeak to it. I am sure its easily resolved with lube (havent tried yet), but on depression of the pedal, it squeaks.
Other than that...im getting to used to the iPhone connecting for media. In my old vehicle, it would just auto-connect to my phone and start playing my music. My 1500 QuadCab ...its a few more steps it seems.

Thanks for any feedback...and also is there anything I need to look out for?

Thank you! 2021 Ram 1500 Quad Cab, 5.7 Hemi, 4x4, 3.92 rear axle, Tow pkg.

1) there are quite a few servos that activate when you start the truck , one of which is the active grill shutters .
2) If you have the auto parking brake enabled you will hear a squeak as it releases .
Things to watch out for are the shark fin leak , third brake light leak , rear window leak and the exhaust manifold ( warp , crack or leak ) . I havent had any issues with mine , neither has my sons girlfriend dad but others have on this forum.

There is a good thread on using some marine weather stripping ($10 at Lowes or HD) for the third brake light. I did it preemptively on the Laramie and will do it again on the Limited.

Thank you. Im looking for it but cannot find it. Appreciate it nonetheless. I bought some weatherstripping just the same. Ill try to see how to install

All seems normal except the brake pedal squeak. My old 2018 1500 used to make brake pedal noise but this one is silent so far. It was more like a creaking noise but after 90k miles it didn’t get worse or affect anything.

This is the seal I used. Going to also replace the seal when the 2021 Ltd order arrives.

When removing the old seal, painters tape off the holes so debris doesn't get inside the light housing. Heat up the glue and it will come off much easier. You might have to heat a few times during the process. Once most gasket material is off, use some goo gone (let it sit a few min). Could heat the glue, too. To scrape the seal off a screwdriver works well. For the glue I used a flat plastic trim panel removal tool. Middle one in the photo here:

Don't overtighten the screws placing the light housing back. Go from the middle out, doing each screw a little at a time for each cycle. If you tighten the middle last it bows the ends outward away from the cab.

yeah this brake pedal makes a creak...you are right. Its irritating but not the end of the world. If I get inspired, ill get under there and jerryrig something. I tried randomly lubing the pivot points to no avail
