Well after continuous complaining to Stellantis, I finally got a replacement MGD E Torque generator for my Hemi..It took 9 weeks tho..And yes it is covered under 8 yr Emission warranty including labor..New battery extra..What a nightmare.

What was wrong with the unit? Bearings ?

Yowsers. I don’t expect that mine will go bad but if it does, I won’t wait nine weeks, I’ll rebuild it myself. Kudos to you for your patience, tho.

I will rebuild mine to ,but it might not be for awhile since i only put about 3k miles a year on mine

What was wrong with the unit? Bearings ?

Didnt make any noise..it just stopped charging as it warmed up..go from 13 volts cold to 11.1 hot..kept draining battery. Go about 40 miles and had to jump it to start. They told me it vould be 6 months to get ond. 3000 plus on backorder...Not acceptable...They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so I did a lot of squeaking...1 day to fix .. they replaced whole thing with new ,cleared codes..reflashed...working fine now, charging 14v.

Only had 24k on it..
